Eggs can sometimes cause use more problems than we think. Are they too cold? Did I take them out of the fridge in time?
Forgot to take your eggs out of the fridge before starting your recipe. That's ok! Simply place in a bowl of warm tap water for 5 minutes and VOILA! Perfect temperature for adding to your baking.
Use metric or imperial, don't mix and match.
Use liquid measuring cups for wet ingredients.
When measuring flour, spoon it into the measuring cup and level it off for accuracy.
Sifting your dry ingredients before adding to your baking helps break out any lumps. Especially the cocoa. It also evenly distributes the salt/baking soda/baking powder and spices, throughout your batter or dough.
Even in sweet recipes, a small pinch of salt can enhance the flavor of your baked goods.
